more interaction on your blogIf you regularly follow my blog, you will notice that we have been discussing content marketing as a strategy to build credibility, visibility, build your list and attract your ideal clients online. A big part of a content marketing strategy is writing regularly on your blog. In this post, I will share with you how to get more interaction on your blog. Interaction, in the form of comments is great social proof for your blog visitors and potential clients. So you should be encouraging interaction at all times. Whenever someone leaves a comment on your blog, be sure to respond to it personally as well.

So here are 6 solid tips for encouraging more interaction on your blog:

1. Reach out to friends or colleagues first and ASK them to take a look at your latest blog post and leave a comment. You can do this via email, Facebook or LinkedIn message. You can also create a private TLC group. This is a group of like-minded people with complementary businesses who collectively agree to T-tweet, L-Like and C-Comment on each other’s content.

2. Click to tweetClicktoTweet.com This is a cool and free tool that you can use to generate a link within your blog post that when clicked will populate a Tweet that your readers can post on Twitter. Here’s an example below:

3. Post the link on Facebook and ask for comments there. Ask your community to “Join the conversation with other like-minded thinkers” on the topic of your blog post.

4. Reach out to specific persons on Facebook who have really been interacting on your Fan Page and ask for their direct feedback. Also, if someone likes the specific post on Facebook, acknowledge it and invite them to expand on their feedback on your blog by leaving a comment there.

5. Post the link in Facebook and LinkedIn Groups that you actively participate in and invite their feedback on your blog.

6. Place a call to action directly above the comment box beneath your post. Depending on your blog theme, there is usually a way to change the “Leave a comment” text to something more personal and inviting. For my theme, I was able to accomplish this with a plugin.

And now I invite YOU to leave a comment below in the form of feedback, sharing or questions. I look forward to hearing from you.
