How to Make the Most of Your Time

how to make the most of your timeTime is a precious commodity for business owners. Learning how to use it wisely, leverage it and maximize it can truly make your business. In today’s video, I share 3 ways to make the most of your time and I share a Power tool to help you manage your time.

1) Cluster your activities – Group your tasks. Have a set time for phone calls, emails, consultations, revenue tracking and all tasks that you have to do in your business. When you focus on one main thing at a time you are more efficient. Resist the temptation to do a little of everything in isolation. This can really eat up your time.

2) Manage your incoming phone calls – This can be a big cause of distraction. There are 2 effective ways that I believe you can deal with incoming calls. One way is to not accept incoming calls, unless it’s a pre-scheduled call with a client, coach, service provider or Joint-venture partner.

3) Manage your email addiction – Yes, I’m had this problem too. Set specific times during the day, preferably 2 times that you will check email, deal with the issue if there was some action required, then sign out of it. Power tip: Don’t let early morning, 1st thing, be one of the times that you check email. This starts you off in reactive mode and sets the tone for your day. Ideally you should start your day off with your revenue-generating activities or advancing any big projects you might be working on.
